Filip Marcus von Buchwald was born in Trollhättan, Sweden in 1994.
In 2017 he enrolled in the Drawing and Painting Programme at the Florence Academy of Art, Sweden, after which he moved to Svendborg, Denmark, to study with Charles Weed.
Filip Marcus is currently residing in Helsingør, Denmark. where he maintains a studio with his wife and fellow painter, Xenia von Buchwald.
